Paul, M.S. Hester

Title: National Director, Eco-Healthy Child Care®
Organization: Children's Environmental Health Network

Hester Paul, M.S. has been the National Director for Eco-Healthy Child Care® since February of 2008. She is responsible for expanding the Eco-Healthy Child Care (EHCC) program so that children throughout the nation benefit from the reduction of harmful environmental toxics in child care facilities. Prior to working for Children’s Environmental Health Network (CEHN), Ms. Paul managed the nationalization of the EHCC program for Oregon Environmental Council (OEC). OEC, based in Portland, OR, originated the EHCC program in 2005. Hester has also served as the Director of Provider Services at the Child Care Resource and Referral Agency – Children’s Council of San Francisco. She has managed other programs, such as the Child Care Inclusion Challenge Project, a four-organization collaboration in San Francisco which supports the successful inclusion of children with special needs in child care settings. She resides in Portland, Oregon with her husband, their 1-year old daughter and their two dogs.
