Veronica Getskow

Biography

Title: Early Childhood and Child Development Professor
Organization: Los Angeles Community College District

Dr. Veronica Getskow has taught preschool, kindergarten and early childhood classes at the community college
and university levels. Her five children have taught her things the textbooks left out. She holds a master’s in
Educational Psychology with an Early Childhood Specialty and a Ph.D.in Education from University of California
– Los Angeles (UCLA). She is a licensed Brain Gym Consultant and a member of Pi Lambda Theta, and NAEYC. She
has written two books Children with Special Needs (co-authored with Dee Konczal) and Incredible Edible Geography
and also writes for Child Care Information Exchange Magazine. Dr. Getskow is currently an adjunct professor at
California State University – Northridge and for the Los Angeles Community College District.
